For a 3 star hotel in a lovely ski resort, I think Beaulieu is a great place to stay with great service. The breakfast was really nice each morning (we especially liked the egg bath/cooker where you can boil your own eggs in the morning). The service was a realy highlight too - the staff were extremely friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions or needed any help, which we did as we had never been to La Clusaz before. The room was cosy and basic, but was nice, clean, and for a 3 star hotel was actually probably better than we expected. They had ski lockers downstairs which we used to store ouir skis and boots. You're about a 10 minute walk away from the ski lifts, and about halfway between the Bossonet lift and the Cret Du Merle/Bearegard lifts, so is quite a good location, although is still a little bit of a walk from the lifts. The village of La Clusaz is on a hill (obviously) so we ended up walking down to the Cret du Merle lift in the morning, and down from the Bossonet lift at the end of the day, to avoid having to walk up any hills with our skis and boots. You can also use the pool at the hotel next door (Carlina), but have to pay 15 euros per person to use the Sauna/Steamroom/Jacuzzi, which we did one day and enjoyed. All in all I woud say its a really good 3 star hotel with excellent service, in a decent location, and would definitely stay there again.
